Nadav Pais-Greenapple is a Yiddishist, historian, translator, and writer. Formerly based in Metro Detroit, he now lives in the "promised land" of Brooklyn, New York, where he is pursuing a PhD in Hebrew & Judaic Studies & History at New York University. His scholarship and translations have been published or are forthcoming in In geveb, the online journal of Yiddish studies, Michigan Jewish History, and American Jewish History. Additionally he is the author of the history and translation blog Yiddish Detroit.

He is a 2026-2027 Yiddish Book Center Translation Fellow, a 2025 YIVO Centennial Scholar, the recipient of Jewish Historical Society of Michigan's 2025 Outstanding Knowledge Production Award, and a 2023 Detroit Jewish News "36 Under 36" laureate. 
Since 2022 Nadav has served on the board of directors for Jewish Historical Society of Michigan and has been a Vice-President thereof since 2024. He was a member of the curatorial and exhibit development committee for JHSM's exhibit on early Jewish life in Detroit: "In The Neighborhood: Life on Hastings Street," housed at the Detroit Historical Museum from April to July 2024. The exhibit won the Historical Society of Michigan’s 2024 State History Award for Special Programming/Event and the 2025 American Association of State and Local History (AASLH) Award of Excellence.
